Just wanted to throw up a link to this. MSNBC just did an article on the top 10 jobs in the Ski Industry and named me as having the number 3 job! Click

Although bits and pieces of this story came from an interview I did with Skiing Magazine last year, I still thought it worthy of sharing as it's now with a National news network.
A quick note though, as I was a little misquoted. When asked how to break into the industry, my first piece of advice was not "Photoshop skills are a must". I mentioned much later in the interview that photoshop skills were part of the job and you had to have a thorough understanding of the program, but that wasn't my first piece of advice to aspiring photos out there.
What would be my first piece of advice??? Love what you're doing and be prepared to work your ass off if you ever want to succeed. It takes a lot more than pretty pictures to make it as pro. It's the hard work, the determination, the strong work ethic, and the passion that will make or break a career.
And one more little piece of self promotion to toss in here. One of my favorite ski shops (anywhere) and the site of my first office, EVO, just started a blog following some of the ski and snowboard photographers in the PNW (Pacific Northwest). I'll be working with them throughout the winter to showcase some of my travels and work in the ski industry. For this first installment, it's a short bio and a quick inside look at a few shots from the past season. To see the full article, click

Thanks for checking this out. Cheers!
